Maria Woodbury is an accomplished professional with more than a decade of experience leading teams, and facilitating cooperation and achievement of outcomes. As Secretariat for GBI, Maria interacts with hundreds of stakeholders to GBI’s consensus process. Together with the Chair of the Consensus Body and other staff, she helps facilitate revision of GBI’s rating systems while ensuring balance, lack of dominance, consensus and due process. Maria also conducts outreach to GBI’s customer base of Green Globes Professionals, and facilitates dialogue and information exchanges throughout GBI’s community.
Previously, Maria directed field operations on statewide political campaigns, including serving as Deputy Field Director for the Maine Democratic Party and other issue-driven campaigns. She has served on the executive board of the York County Beekeepers Association in Maine and has also personally experienced living “off the grid.”
Maria holds a M.S. in Project Management from Boston University and B.A. in Environmental Studies from Lawrence University.
