The resources below have been made available as part of the GBI’s mission to accelerate the adoption of green building practices. These resources include tools, white papers, educational videos, and a variety of instructional training covering Green Globes®, Guiding Principles Compliance, Personnel Certification Programs, and more.
Green Globes Personnel Certification Programs
The GBI offers two Personnel Certification Programs: Green Globes Professional (GGP) and Green Globes Assessor (GGA). These programs have been created to support the national adoption and growth of Green Globes by creating, maintaining, and growing a network of contracted individuals trained and authorized to support the assessment and certification process.
Guiding Principles Compliance Personnel Certification Program
GBI has recently launched a new training and certification program for Guiding Principles Compliance that enables facilities managers, engineers, and consultants to learn about the guiding principles assessment requirements mandated by E.O. 13514. The course provides the option to be certified as a Guiding Principles Compliance Professional (GPCP), and to take the training without certification in order to become more knowledgeable.
Green Globes Customer Training
Green Globes is a web-based green building guidance and assessment program that integrates a comprehensive environmental assessment protocol, software tools, qualified assessors with green building expertise, and a rating/certification system. Together, this combination of tools and services integrate to offer an effective, practical and affordable way to advance the overall environmental performance and sustainability of buildings.
Guiding Principles Customer Training
The Guiding Principles Compliance Assessment Program, offered by the Green Building Initiative, is a third-party assessment and rating program designed specifically for federal agencies to assess compliance with the Guiding Principles for Existing Buildings. GBI’s program provides a simple-to-use survey, third-party on-site assessment, compliance score and rating, detailed reports, and supplemental tools to enhance and clarify the Guiding principles Compliance process.
Webinars
The GBI webinar program allows viewers to increase their knowledge in the green building industry by providing information on subjects that are hard to understand or that tackle difficult issues. These programs have been widely received by the building and construction industry. We present new topics each month, so please visit the links below to attend one of our live webinars or to view one of our pre-recorded programs.
Green Resource Library
The green resource library is a collection of materials from a variety of sources in the form of white papers, research, training power points, and more. All of the materials have been selected and vetted by the GBI for their educational content. None of the materials presented are for the purpose of selling or demonstrating products.
