Northeast Ohio and Durham Green Building Initiatives Expand to Include More HBAs

The Northeast Ohio Green Building Initiative, which began as a partnership between the North Coast Building Industry Association and the HBA of Greater Cleveland, has expanded to include the HBA of Portage & Summit Counties.

The Durham Green Building Initiative, which began as a program of the HBA of Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties, now also includes the HBA of Raleigh/Wake Counties and is called the Green Home Builders of the Triangle.

Developed in partnership with GBI, both programs are based on the National Association of Home Builders’ Model Green Home Building Guidelines, which are currently undergoing a process to become the first standard recognized by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for residential green building.
