GreenFiber's Natural Fiber Insulation Provides Thermal, Fire and Sound Protection with High R-value to Maximize Energy Efficiency

According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, one of the most cost-effective ways to improve a home’s energy efficiency is to seal air leaks, add insulation and install energy-efficient windows. GreenFiber’s Cocoon® insulation can play a dual role in this process, by both blanketing a structure against air leaks and providing effective R-value even in extreme cold.
Made from 85 percent recycled material, Cocoon insulation is sprayed into walls and cavities, filling cracks and seams and reducing outside air infiltration. It’s manufactured in electric-driven mills using a technique that separates cellulose fibers to provide maximum R-value, which withstands extreme cold and is guaranteed for the life of the home.
Cocoon Insulation can be used in residential or commercial structures, in walls, ceilings, crawl spaces, basements, or as insulation under floors. It can be blown in horizontal applications such as attics and crawl spaces and professionally sprayed (with carefully controlled moisture) into wall cavities and attics in new construction.
Cocoon Insulation is approved by ENERGY STAR as part of the Energy Star Home Sealing effort and qualifies homeowners for an energy saving tax credit of up to $500, providing it’s installed before December 31, 2007. For more information on federal tax credits, please click here.
